The Young Beast Makes Its Entrance (Open to all)
Raja yawned. His large ears perking in every direction and his nose twitching. The Young Smilodon squinted off into the distance as he gnawed on a large and thick tree's vine, covered in berries and flowers. Raja then became motionless, his ears perked forward and his nose sniffing for a scent. Soon he realized it was some herbivore smaller then himself. The young smilodon crouched close to the ground, as he silently approached the prey unaware of his presence behind the bushes. Raja then roared loudly as he leaped and pounced on a two headed and tailed hare about as big as his paw. A common find. He crunched down onto the doubled headed and tailed hare with his two large teeth as he waited till it stopped resisting its fate. And so it happened, Raja was quite proud of himself. He could never sneak up on anything successfully. He then enjoyed his meal, thinking to himself, "Oh boy! Maybe that green stretchy thingy hanging off of that tree branch was some kind good luck? Hm, and I wonder if there are any hunters around...those humans are so bloodthirsty not even a laughing hyena could laugh.." He thought while gnawing on the beast's leg, hoping no one finds him.

Solstice crunched through the forest, stopping instantly as she saw the creature ahead. She crouched low, behind a tree, wondering what to do. Ignore it and leave or get some food for her tribe? Shrugging, the eagle-human went out of her cover, leaning back on a tree that she thought was within the creature's vision. Solstice stood there and watched, silently as usual.

Raja was correct, he knew someone, not an animal was sneaking up behind him. He finished eating his meal then sitting still for any sudden movements, and after about a moments of sitting still he unexpectedly turned around, leaped on pounce on top of a, Human? She was very tiny, his two large fangs as big as her face. He glared into her eyes and let out a large intimidating roar. As he pinned the human, he sniffed around her body for any weapons. Obviously she didn't have any with her, so he got off her and sat across from her with a curious expression. He tilted his head to see what she'd do next.

And with that assumption, he was incorrect. A dagger was hidden under her feathers, of which she wasn't going to make obvious. She sat up, leaning back on her talon-tipped hands. She narrowed her eyes though quickly replaced it with a smile, standing up and staring back. She wasn't terrified at all, despite his large fangs. "Hello?"

Raja clearly understood her but she didn't understand him, suppose some interactions would give a good impression? He sat up and walked over behind her, sniff her back then took a feather off from her, still not detecting the dagger. He frolicked back in front of her with her tail feather in his mouth, he tilted his head again to see her reaction. Raja was only 14 years old, he was a kid to most humans but a young adult to other animals.

Solstice shrieked when her tail feather was pulled. She made a sort of hissing noise and scooted backwards. "Don't do that again, please." She said through a locked beak, tempted to reach for her dagger.

Raja furrowed what seemed to be a brow, he then grabbed another feather. He clearly understood what she was saying, but did so anyway. He sort of chuckled as he waited for her reaction, not knowing she would do. He didn't detect any other weapons on her, but he wasn't that oblivious. No human he saw was in the jungle without weaponry.

Solstice, being part bird, made an angry squawking noise and stood up, narrowing her eyes at the large animal. "Stop! I need those!" She cried. Obviously, Raja was a child, and children lived to annoy others. She had tried to make friends, but that wouldn't work. She spread her wings, beating them and alighting on a branch within a few moments. The branch was just above Raja's eyesight.
